Duluth Public Library

library3The Duluth Public Library is an informational community hub that is accessible to all.

Composed of a main library and two branches, West Duluth and Mt. Royal, the Library serves Duluth and the surrounding region. Service to the community includes summer reading programs for children, teens, and adults; literacy and cultural programming throughout the year for all ages; instruction on the use of e-readers and computers; free internet access; laptop computers that can be borrowed for use in the Library; and a drop-in tax information preparation assistance program, coordinated with the University of Minnesota Duluth.

PowersLibrary Manager Carla Powers notes that, “The public library is sometimes referred to as the ‘Third Place’ – a place that is not home or work, where people can gather to exchange ideas and learn new things. With strong support from the community and the Duluth Library Foundation, our city will continue to have a strong and vibrant Third Place that offers free and open access to all people.”

The foundation is pleased to work in support of and in partnership with the Library.
