OUR LIBRARY.\nDuluth Reads Together is a citywide celebration of books\, community\, and the Duluth Public Library\, held September 18–20 as part of Minnesota Libraries Read Together.\nThroughout the weekend\, readers of all ages will be invited to gather at Duluth Public Library locations and partner businesses across the city. Together\, these events will create a book and library crawl that encourages people to explore Duluth\, experience welcoming community spaces\, and discover more of what the library has to offer.\nNo matter where we gather or what we read\, we will celebrate the stories that connect us and the library that helps make those connections possible. \nFRIDAY\, SEPTEMBER 18: \nThe Silent Set: All-Day Silent Reading Party\nDPL Mount Royal Branch\, 10 AM to 2 PM\nCreate your own bookmark\, find a comfortable place to settle in\, and enjoy reading alongside others at this relaxed all-ages celebration of books and community. \nOff The Page: Painted Book Workshop for Teens\nDowntown Duluth Public Library\, 3 PM to 5 PM\nBooks meet art in this creative workshop for teens in grades 6 to 12. Bring your own book or use one of ours. Paint a unique design along the edges of a book’s pages. \nB4 You Go: Book Bingo\nWild State Cider\, 7 PM\nPut your book knowledge to the test during a lively evening of library-inspired bingo at Wild State Cider. \nSATURDAY\, SEPTEMBER 19: \nStrange New Worlds Sci-Fi and Fantasy Meet-up\nThe Loch Café\, 10 AM to 12 PM\nScience fiction and fantasy readers: gather to discuss favorite books\, authors\, fictional worlds\, and the stories that have shaped how you imagine the future. \nStories From The Bowl Family Storytime\nChester Bowl Fall Fest\, 11 AM and 12 PM\nJoin Little Library Go at Chester Bowl Fall Fest! Youth Services staff will be hosting storytimes as part of Duluth Reads Together. Come read with us! \nRedacted: A Blackout Poetry Drop-in\nStudio Café · 1 PM to 4 PM\nDrop in to transform existing pages into original works of poetry. No previous writing or art experience is required. \nTales & Tails: Read to a Dog\nDowntown Duluth Public Library · 2 PM to 3 PM\nYoung readers K-8 can practice reading aloud in a welcoming\, low-pressure environment with Cruz\, a trained therapy dog. \nOf Mice & Manhattans: A Night Of Classics & Cocktails\nThe Boreal House · 6 PM to 8 PM\nSip handcrafted cocktails in a historic building while connecting with fellow readers for a lively discussion over the classic literature you love (or hate!). \nSUNDAY\, SEPTEMBER 20: \nThe Great Duluth Book Exchange\nAmity Coffee · 10 AM to 12 PM\nBring up to 3 books to swap\, take some new favorites home and enjoy some fresh brewed coffee and company.
